To many, a Giant Hamster bursting into camp isn’t the most dangerous of monsters to blunder its way into a half-asleep hero. However, a Giant Hamster frantically powering a glass ball from within, probably is… How these unassuming creatures have wound up trapped inside the rolling spheres of death is anyone’s guess—but some believe that larger, more mischievous forces are at work, specifically, ones located somewhere high in the mountains, where they can let their novelty Giant Hamster balls roll through the kingdom below, leaving a trail of flattened bystanders in their wake.

In their natural habitat, and outside of any rotating glass ball, Giant Hamsters are simple creatures that enjoy scampering around the fields, consuming large swathes of corn and barley, much to the annoyance of any nearby corn or barley farmers, who try their best to shoo the oversized rodents away using any loud instrument they can find—or hiring the services of a local Bard specialising in the most impractical of favoured instruments (like a pipe organ). However, even this can be perilous, as most Giant Hamsters will drop their bowels at the first sign of danger. This often leaves the Bard (or farmer) in question to dodge a barrage of tumbling pellets or risk being crushed to death by a six-foot defecation missile.

Outside of their ‘Rolling Ball of Chaos’, a Giant Hamster can still deliver a pretty nasty ‘nip’ if cornered—although, it’s worth remembering that given its size, a nasty ‘nip’ will still probably see your average hero losing their head as a consequence.

Giant hamsters are often found grazing in the fields surrounding any corn or barley-specialising farmstead. But it’s worth noting they have also been discovered lodged in the most bizarre of locations—one can only surmise that this all depends significantly upon the velocity of their descent and unpredictability of their tumbling whilst inside their ‘Rolling Ball of Chaos’.
